JOB SUMMARY:
Provides outstanding customer service to our clients and prospective clients, applicants and our employees. Answers multi-line phone, directs incoming calls and assists callers as appropriate. Responsible for assisting with various administrative functions including trouble shooting, staffing, and building relationships with clients and caregivers. We need an individual who is a go-getter with the drive to reach goals daily! Attitude is everything!
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associate degree or appropriate combination of relevant experience and education.
- A minimum of five (5) years’ experience in an office setting, six (6) months in human resources.
- Accuracy in typing, computer literacy, the ability to communicate effectively by telephone in a pleasant manner, and the ability to function independently with minimal supervision.
- Capable of handling multiple tasks as once.
- Maintain the highest level of confidentiality.
- Able to interface well with all departments in a highly professional manner.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE JOB:
- Implement effective recruitment activities to assure adequate direct care staff availability throughout the entire service area and other staff positions. Place and maintain internal and external recruitment advertisements. Give and receive employment applications and instructions to facilitate the hiring process. Review applications for completeness. Conduct reference checks, license or certification verification, and other required pre-employment documentation to assure agency integrity. Screen and selects the best qualified candidates for the position. Maintain other records and reports pertaining to application flow to assure an efficient hiring process.
- Assure agency compliance with all appropriate labor laws, including ADA, AA, EEOC, FMLA, accreditation standards, and licensing regulations and best practices. Maintains records necessary to assure agency conformance with employment laws and regulations.
- Process new hire paperwork, including creating personnel folders and computer files, and assist with new employee orientation as directed to assure completeness of process. This include establishing and controlling personnel records and assure they are maintained in a confidential manner according to regulations and standards.
- Complete documents required for individual certification and re-certification applications, criminal background checks, and drug tests to assure valid certifications are in force.
- Help monitor performance appraisal process necessary to a competent staff. This includes preparing computer reports, assembling forms, notification of managers, receiving completed forms, coordinating training and in-service sessions, and entering dates in computer.
- Maintain human resources information system files and records, and compiles reports from database as needed to assure completeness and accuracy. This activity requires knowledge of the agency human resources computer application and computer system and attention to detail.
- Make and receive telephone calls and answer questions as appropriate. This activity requires a friendly, professional phone manner and good customer service attitude.
OFFICE RESPONSIBILITES INCLUDE:
- Excellent phone and communication skills

- MUST possess computer skills, i.e. Microsoft Office, Xcel, Word
- Mature sense of responsibility
- Someone willing to be flexible and put in the time needed to finish the job
- Must be able to provide quality customer service to all incoming associates, applicants, and other visitors.
- Ability to answer telephones, direct calls, take messages and provide information.
- Weekly on-call rotation
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS PREFERRED:
Previous Healthcare experience a plus but not required.
